Reporter for the day

Hi folks!

Summer intern Renea, again.

Nervous- waiting to start
I just thought I would take a break from my panic attack to write my next blog. Panic attack? Yes, panic attack.
I just finish my first episode as host and it was just as nerve racking as I imagined it would be. I am not exactly the outgoing, camera-ready, broadway type and the mere idea of being on camera for everyone to see, well, made me a little nervous to say the least. I practiced over and over while Kailani set up the production and felt pretty confident in my ability to wow the audience with my reporting skills... that is until she hit 'record'.
I must say though, after my nerves calmed and a few kind words from Kailaniand Korrine, I made it through. In one take at that!

Reviewing the tape, there are things I don't like; such as my man-voice and flat hair. But, hey, whatcha gonna do?

My last non-profit segment was on The Home of New Vision reha

bilitation transition home in Ypsilanti. It wasn't exactly what I pictured when I first booked the organization, but I was super excited to actually film on location instead of the studio. When we got the the house, it seemed like just any other house. Nice comfy couch inside, girls hanging around chatting and the busy street noise interfering with my camera's audio. The woman of The Home of New Vision are doing very heart-warming work and I applaud them in their efforts to help the community.

Well, thats all from me this week. Tune in Sunday for Touring Tree Town and I'll catch you later!
