Hello, My Name is Summer Intern

Sun ‘n’ fun, unlimited Dairy Queen excursions, weekend travels, pool trips, and my newfound schedule regular Community Television Network. Me, Summer Intern Korrine Miller and CTN, all summer long. As a recent master’s graduate from Eastern Michigan University in Arts Administration , I enjoy long walks on the beach, comedy films, and laughing so hard that I cry. So far I have learned a great deal; don’t leave the hard drive on when you put it away, always white balance before shooting footage and the tripod is your friend.

As interns these summer months, the four of us have to produce and direct our own TV show. Touring Tree Town was born with each of us owning a segment topic to explore in the greater Ann Arbor area. I have taken on ‘Family Friendly’ events, forcing myself to attend fun, exciting happenings and act like a child again.

The first event I featured was Live on Washington by Neutral Zone, an upbeat music festival including art exhibits, tasty vendor food and socializing at its finest. Episode two was an art showcase by the Imagine Community, currently on display at the downtown Ann Arbor District Library branch.

I look forward to letting my inner child enjoy and feature three more awesome events, which everyone should totally watch on Public Access Channel 17 (Comcast) or online at CTNAnnArbor.org, by the way. I will be available for autograph’s weekdays at 2805 S. Industrial Hwy, please no heavy paparazzi or flash photography.
